Questions builders ask

What is Structmill, and what do I get?

Structmill is a cutting machine and software your lumberyard installs. You send your cut list, and your framing shows up cut to length, labeled, and bundled by wall. You buy less lumber, waste less, cut less on site, and every piece matches the plan.

How much does it cost me?

Planning with Structmill is free. Pre-cut packages are sold by your lumberyard, which sets the price for the service the same way it prices your lumber.

What if my yard doesn't have a Structmill machine?

Send us your cut list anyway. We'll send back the optimized cutting plan, and if you tell us where you buy, we'll take your request to your yard.

Who makes the cut list?

You can send us a spreadsheet, a photo, or a PDF, or have your yard's counter build it from your plans. Either way, nothing is cut until you approve the final list. Structmill optimizes and cuts exactly what you approved.

What jobs does it work for?

Framing with standard 2-by lumber: walls, floors, additions, and new homes.
